Working at United Way’s
Day of Caring

Although the practice of law is Messina’s passion, he also understands that to whom much is given, much is expected. He rises to that standard by giving back to the community via a number of charities and activities. Sharing his knowledge and experience, he mentors young professionals and seeks out opportunities to teach, drawing from his former livelihood as a high school educator.

Ways in which he has served education, politics, and more:
  • Served on the board of the Gonzaga Law School.
  • Served on the board of the Washington State Trial Lawyers Association.
  • Served on the boards of the Washington Sons of Italy.
  • Helped write changes to the Tacoma City Charter twice.
  • Authored the provisions regarding election of the council by districts and term limits.
  • Speaks at numerous educational events for trial lawyers.
